Privacy

This policy covers the TerrorPod app and the TerrorPod website. The text for the app is effective 2026-11-02. The website-specific parts, marked as such, are effective 2026-11-06.

What we collect

No account. TerrorPod works without an account. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or contacts to use the app or the website.

What the app sends to us:

  • Anonymous installation identifier. A random identifier created on your device, sent when the app syncs content removals, submits a report, or checks a subscription. It is not linked to your identity.
  • Catalog requests. Searches, filters and the shows or episodes you open are sent to our servers to return results. Our hosting provider (Google Firebase) processes your IP address to deliver responses and protect the service from abuse.
  • Subscription receipts. If you subscribe, the App Store transaction information is validated so your subscription works on your devices. Payment details are handled by Apple; we never receive them.
  • Reports. If you send a report, we receive its type, the item it concerns, your description and, if you provide it, a contact email (required for copyright reports).
  • Analytics and crash reports (optional). Only if you turn them on in Settings, anonymous usage and crash data is sent to Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics. You can turn this off at any time.
  • Advertising. Free users may see ads served by Google AdMob. Where required, we ask for your consent first, and you can change your choice in Settings. Subscribers do not see ads.

The website (effective 2026-11-06): the site is a static site hosted on Cloudflare Pages. To deliver pages, Cloudflare processes your IP address and basic request information. We do not collect anything else about visitors.

How we use it

We use this information only to run the service: to return search and catalog results, to sync content removals, to check that your subscription works on your devices, to show ads to free users, to handle reports and document takedown decisions, to protect the service from abuse, and, only if you opt in, to understand usage and fix crashes. On the website, your IP address is used only to deliver the pages.

What stays on your device

In the app, your follows, listening history, playback position, playlists, preferences and downloaded episodes are stored only on your device. Deleting the app deletes them.

The website (effective 2026-11-06): the website has no accounts, sets no cookies and has no analytics. If you choose a language, the site saves that choice in your browser's local storage (under the name tp-lang) so it can open in that language next time. This stays in your browser and is not sent to us; you can clear it in your browser settings.

Other services

Audio from third parties. Episodes play and download directly from each podcast publisher's servers. Those publishers receive your IP address and device information under their own privacy policies. We do not host or proxy audio. On the website, the audio plays directly from the creator's server in your browser.

Other services we use: Google Firebase (hosting, optional analytics and crash reports), Google AdMob (ads for free users), Apple (payments and subscriptions) and Cloudflare Pages (the website). Each handles data under its own policy.

Your choices and rights

You can turn off analytics and change ad consent in Settings. To ask us to delete data associated with your installation identifier, email llittlesu512@outlook.com from the app (Settings, then Request data deletion) so the request includes the identifier. On the website we hold no account data to delete.

Children: TerrorPod is intended for adults and is not directed to children.

How long we keep it

Catalog request logs are kept for a short period for security and operations. Subscription records are kept while your subscription is active and as required for accounting. Reports are kept as long as needed to handle them and to document takedown decisions.
