About this episode
In a small Arkansas town, the older kids tell a story about a body beneath a secluded pond. They say it never decays. They say touching it can change your luck. To claim that promise, you must visit after dark, bring someone who has played before, and keep both hands on the corpse for one uninterrupted hour. At thirteen, a boy agrees to discover whether the legend is real. His friends seem to know something he doesn’t, and their invitation offers a chance to become part of the secret. But when they reach the pond, someone is already waiting in the water, and the answers to his questions become increasingly difficult to obtain. As the hour begins, the boy must decide how much faith to place in the people who brought him there—and in rules he accepted before he understood them.
