About this episode
Maunderston has always been the kind of town where everyone knows everyone—and where secrets rarely remain buried for long. When teenager Hunter Davis is found dead after a crowded house party, the authorities call it a tragic accident. His mother calls it a lie. Then every road out of town becomes impassable, communication with the outside world abruptly ceases, and an impossible decay begins spreading from the Davis home. A stranger has arrived in Maunderston. He claims that an unjust death has occurred, and he will not leave until the guilty are delivered to him. As fear transforms neighbors into accusers and old suspicions erupt into violence, the people of Maunderston must decide whom they are willing to sacrifice. But the figure stalking their crumbling streets has no interest in rumors, excuses, or convenient confessions. He wants the truth—and he intends to judge everyone before he finds it.
