About this episode
The Bath, The Knife, and The Son of Hades Seven green capsules, seven fears, and three people dead or bleeding out in Nashville. What if a stranger could engineer a phobia so precise it could kill the right person, in the right room, at the right hour? This isn't a drug experiment gone wrong; it's something far more sinister. In this episode, we delve into the chilling account of Hale, a man who sought genuine fear and found it in a proposition from a Facebook profile named Max Circle. For $43,000, Hale was to take seven pills, each designed to activate a different phobia for 24 hours. But the first pill, inducing a terror of bathing, led to a death that Max Circle seemed to have foreseen with impossible accuracy. Person: Hale Location: Nashville, Tennessee Contact: Max Circle (Facebook profile) Payment offered: $43,000 Item: Seven green capsules - Hale sought genuine fear, not extreme sports or horror movies. - Max Circle claimed affiliation with Vanderbilt University, which was later proven false. - The meeting took place at a PetSmart exterior at the One Hundred Oaks Mall. - Pill number one induced ablutophobia, a terror of bathing. - Hale's father died after slipping in the tub, despite Hale's phone warning.
