About this episode
Nicholas Saint loved Halloween—the costumes, the ghost stories, the pleasure of giving someone a good scare. When he dies just days before his favorite holiday, his siblings know an ordinary funeral will never do. Their farewell belongs at the Timber, the wooded Missouri property where they grew up beside the Sac River. But another family owns the land now, and permission to return has been firmly denied. Determined to honor their brother, they arrange a secret journey by boat under cover of darkness. With his ashes in a guitar case and their aging mother beside them, they set out for the riverbank that holds a lifetime of memories. Then lights begin moving across the water.
